  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely brilliant – our favourite local! From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel so welcome here. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a proper pub – warm, lively but relaxed. It’s spotlessly clean, full of character, and has that perfect mix of locals chatting, families having a great time, and groups catching up – everyone feels at home here. The staff are honestly the best we’ve come across. Friendly, attentive, and always smiling, they remember regulars’ names and go out of their way to make sure you’re happy, without ever being intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble, and they really make the place feel special. Drinks-wise, the selection is fantastic – a great range of lagers, ciders, and wines, They also have little touches that make all the difference – dog-friendly inside and out, great events from bingo nights to great band nights. If you’re nearby, do yourself a favour and pay them a visit – you won’t regret it.

  If pubs were people, The Fusilier would be that mate who always says “just one” and then somehow you’re still there three hours later having the time of your life. Stopped in for a beer and ended up staying far longer than planned — always the sign of a great place. The atmosphere is brilliant: lively, friendly, and full of proper pub character without feeling chaotic. It’s the kind of place where everyone seems to be in a good mood, and even if you walk in on your own, you don’t feel like a stranger for long. The beer was spot on Staff were great, service was quick, and the whole place just has that easy-going, good-laugh energy that makes you want to come back. Went in for one. Left happier, slightly louder, and already planning the next visit. Highly recommended — a proper pub done right. 🍻
